Last night I went to my 2nd Avon meeting where we learned more about the new product for your hair called Lotus Shield. It is Advance Techniques FRIZZ Control. I had a sample and tried it on my hair and the nice thing is that it doesn't weigh my hair down. The bottle looks small but a little bit goes a long way and one application last for 3 days so your bottle should last you sufficiently. Great frizz control.

We were also introduced to the Anew Emulsions: the blue one is to rejuvinate, the red one is the reversalist, and the gold one is the ultimate. Today was the last day of school for my second grader that is in my hub picture. He has been going to a small private christian school where I know all of the moms and usually see them on a regular basis. I decided as part of my campaign to let more people know that I recently became an Avon representative, that I would purchase about 20 assorted, scented shower gels(which are on sale right now for $1.99 and come in atleast seven different scents with a new one out that is watermelon!) and give them out to all of the moms to let them know. Now I may get no response but my main motivation was giving something to them that I thought they would like and then secondary why not have it be something that is part of my business? I will let you know if anyone contacts me.

I have just taken the step almost 3 weeks ago to become an independent Avon representative.Yeah!

I met with Jen who is in charge of this district. She is not a representative but actually "works" for Avon as an employee. As a representative, I do not work for Avon but am independent of them and work for myself but sell their product. What really pursueded me was that I could sell online as well as face to face.

This last campaign was much better for me. My sister in -law ordered over $100.00 in products. There are some great 2 piece jewelry sets from Avon that look great! I bought one set ( necklace and matching earrings) and have seen in person 2 other sets. I think the brochures don't do them justice at all. My necklace/ earring set looks so good on me. It is made of faux stones but looks authentic. As good as anything I have seen at Macys or other department stores. I have the "Turquoise Colored and Brown Medallion" set, # 172-590. It is really detailed and it was being sold in the campaign 12 brochure for $9.99 on sale along with some other sets that are very attractive.  There are 5 sets being showcased for that same price. I plan to buy another one and will write about it. I justify buying jewelry (well, the price IS great) by using it as a great advertisement for my Avon business. Below is an add for "In Bloom" fragrance by Reese Witherspoon. I think AVON hit this one out of the park going with this scent ( it is lovely). Not only does she promote Avon, she also uses their products.

Well, each campaign ( 2 weeks) I have had one customer but I know as I hand out my brochures to more friends things will pick up. I've also put my Avon owned web address on some of my hubs and some of my lens from Squidoo. I admit I am writing this hub to attract customers to my website. However, I am going to use it as a diary so I can see how I am doing and record different events and what I have done along the way. Hopefully I can look back and see significant improvement not only in my online sales (none so far-You could be the first - free shipping!) but also in my face to face sales. Yesterday I got my fifth order delivered to my house. One of the things that Avon Reps. order and pay for are samples. They are not expensive and are a good way to introduce customers or potential customers to some great products. I order a few fragrance samples every order instead of all at once and usually skin care samples as well. This time I also ordered PERFECT WEAR Extralasting Lipstick Samples that last up to 8 hours. I have an out of state friend who hasn't ordered anything from me yet but asked if we had lipstick that stays all day. Since I haven't tried it yet I thought the best thing to do was to send her the samples of every color (10) and let her find her color and see if they work for her. I don't generally wear lipstick because I like lipgloss because of my dry skin. I want her to report back to me and give her opinion and hopefully she will find a color that she loves and I will have a happy customer.
